【藝術超好玩01集】25年前上海珍貴舊照大曝光,罕見【Interesting Art Episode 1】Rare Precious Pictures of Shanghai 25 Years Ago

Those pictures were all shot 25 years ago In Shanghai, Thailand, Vietnam, etc. When I travelled to those places I find that the scenery in my camera is disappearing So I sort out those pictures and hold an exhibition of photographs I came to Shanghai for the first time in 1994 I arrived at the banks of Huangpu River from Japan’s Nagasaki by boat Basically backpackers from Japan all disembarked there The bridge should be famous And the Suzhou River They are the places I liked in Shanghai Everyone rode a bicycle in the city Foreigners were rarely seen At night there was no place to eat when I was hungry This was a viaduct bridge under construction in 1996 I always thought it was a great place that would definitely achieve much progress in the future The whole city was like a construction site The streets were always noisy and vibrant The city was at a dramatic stage of development Japan at that time had a bubble economy I often asked myself Is material abundance equal to happiness I wanted to show a kind of warmth, which Japan lacked, through my works When I travelled for the first time, I spent 100 days outside at one go I took over 200 rolls of film, like such a big bundle Which weighed 30 kilos in total I lived in very cheap places Which cost only 200-300 yen (20 RMB) I had a hard time in India and Nepal I ate curry every day Once the bus I took was going to cross a river I was sitting the boat and the child happened to be in front of me I only found she was a girl after she turned around I think my past pictures are a lot better I was really honest when I photographed Now I teach photography in a college I have contact with young people nowadays I wish they work harder Anxiety. Difficulty. Wondering if they can take photography as a career I’ve been there while I was a student You need to find the answer by yourself
