Fly in a vintage WWII-era aircraft

Today we’re flying a 1940 Navy SNJ
aircraft was actually flown by the Navy in World War Two. It’s a 72 year-old airplane and we’re out over the city of Reading. In 1940, maybe, there were
about 15 and a half thousand SNJ made. This is an early model. It’s an SNJ-2. There were only 72 of these made and five of them are flown by the Geico Skytypers It’s powered by a 600-horsepower or 13-40. It’s a Pratt & Whitney engine. It’s supercharged. The airplane may be 1940, but the avionics are very modern. We’ve got an Aspen PFD with synthetic vision, GPS for navigation and
its an all-weather airplane.
