  1. This looks EXACTLY like the floor in my rental home after pulling back the old carpet! Where are the other videos?? You have my attention, but I can't find part 2 or 3! Please post them if you have them!

  2. Hi Mr helper guy,

I really like this video. Thanks for putting thus wonderful and informative info on youtube. I am assuming, from watching your other videos, that cleaning pine versus oak floors are quite different. Can you tell me how you used the goop off and floor stripper? I'm also trying to redo some pretty ugly oak hardwood floors stained with purple paint (at least I think it's oak). Did you use goop off on the painted area only and floor stripper everywhere else? Did you scrub it with a hard wood brush or did you use steel wool and a scrapper (all over the floor or in certain sections)? How long did you allow the product to sit on the floor before you took manual action? Finally after cleaning is done would you use a polyurethane as opposed to wood stain and shellac because the floors are oak. How long does it take to dry before applying another coat. Can't wait for your response! 🙂

    Best, K

  4. honestly great video just knowing what products to use is a big help thank you for posting this and to all the people bad mouthing the video if you can make a better one go ahead but if you can't and have not taken the time to please do not insult or degrade others it solves nothing and really just makes you look like a person that cannot say anything nice to someone who took time out to share some useful information. thank you for posting the videos they are all helpful

  5. Dear Mr. Helper Guy. I never post on videos or anywhere on the internet, for that matter. However, I scanned some of the previous posts and was just struck by your consistent kind and witty replies to so many who were truly ugly and mean. I appreciate your willingness to post a video that others can learn from. You obviously don't take yourself too seriously and , more importantly, don't take useless hostile criticisms from cowardly bullies too seriously. Thank you for getting me thinking about good character today.

  6. This is ridiculous…I can't believe people are so mean. If you do not like the man's video, just go to another one. My mother always told me: "if you do not have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Thanks, MrHelperGuy, 🙂 now I know what I need to buy for my floor.

  7. halajuah I just dyed my floor with hair dye since I can't afford to pay a professional to come up a 6flight walk up to do the entire apartment. maybe I'll give this a try

  8. thank you i wasnt sure what to use and i am in the process of refinishing hardwood floors for the first time, i am doing a lot of research first and wanted to tell you that this was helpful despite all the rude comments on here! take care!

  9. At the end of the day, you need to do some sanding in order to get a good finish. The best way to sand the edges is to remove the baseboards and then use an orbital sander like this.

  10. I liked your video because you did a good job and I wanted to counter the haters. One of my uncles had a speech problem and the quickest way to get into a fight with my dad was to make fun of his younger brother.
